Jungle and Rainforest

Home > Get inspired! > Outdoor Activities > Jungle and Rainforest

The land from central Mexico to Guatemala forms the earth’s second jungle after the Amazon. The tropical weather and remoteness of these protected areas allow a wide diversity of flora and fauna, such as jaguars, howler monkeys or quetzal birds.

On this page, you can check which tours visit these natural wonders. Let’s explore!

Mayan Ruins of Calakmul
Calakmul Biosphere Reserve

Situated in the State of Campeche, Calakmul is one of the largest protected areas in Mexico. The reserve counts with many species of flora and fauna and it’s a paradise for photographers, bird watchers and nature lovers.

Visiting the remains of the ancient Mayan site -located inside the reserve- and hicking through the surrounding lush jungle is an off-the-beaten-path experience, and Lupita one of the few companies including this activity.
