Belize, A Land of Happiness!
From the verdant jungles to the turquoise coast, Belize is ideal for those looking for a tropical paradise. This commonwealth country offers far less of a language barrier to overcome than elsewhere in Latin America.
Caye Caulker Island
Caye Caulker offers balmy breezes, fresh seafood and azure waters. The easygoing attitude of the Creole presence on the island pulses to a reggae beat. Through a snorkel tour, we will explore the Belize Barrier Reef. Enjoy a kaleidoscope of coral, fish, nurse sharks, manatees and turtles!
Belize Tropical Education Centre
The Belize Zoo exhibits over 200 animals, representing over 45 native species. The Zoo keeps orphaned, rescued, born at the zoo or rehabilitated animals. A visit to the Zoo is the best way to get an introduction to Belize’s animals and understand why it is important to protect its habitats.
Garifuna Cultural Centre
The friendly coastal village of Hopkins is home to Palmento Grove. This cultural centre is located on a small island inside the mangrove. Here, we will explore the natural wonders and experience diverse Garifuna traditions, such as drumming, dancing and cooking.
Lower Dover and the ATM Cave
We will explore the Mayan sacrificial site of Actun Tunichil Muknal (aka ATM Cave). Once you complete a long passage through the jungle and swim through the cave, you’ll witness the ‘crystal maiden,’ a skeleton of a female adolescent covered in limestone crystals.
