A Land of Contrasts…
One of the world’s great civilizations, Mexico has served through centuries as an inspiration for travellers. Offering a blend of ancient cultures and Spanish traditions, our routes take us through a wide range of landscapes.
Baja California
Baja offers amazing wildlife, ancestral vestiges, good wine and remote deserts. Its protected bays create the perfect paradise for whales, sea lions and turtles. Apart from its coast, Baja is also home to stunning desert scenery sprinkled with beautiful oases and cave paintings.
Northwest Mexico
North Mexico
The north hides an amazing history and nature. Around the Copper Canyon, “El Chepe” is one of the ultimate train rides. This region is also home to Basaseachi Reserve. Heading south, we explore the oldest winery in the Americas, Mapimi Biosphere Reserve and Real de Catorce.
Central Mexico
South Mexico
This region offers a great perspective on the purest Mexico. Oaxaca encapsulates powerful traditions, colourful markets exuberant fiestas. Zapotec Sites are common, and the landscape contains forested sierras. The coast is the perfect place to explore nature and lay back.
Chiapas‘ biggest draws are the Mayan traditions and pristine wilderness. San Cristóbal is a vivid example of colonial heritage. And the Sumidero Canyon is an iconic natural wonder. Plus, Palenque Site teems with exotic wildlife. Finally, the Selva Lacandona offers cultural exchanges and turquoise waterfalls.
The earliest Mexican civilizations are represented by the Olmec colossal heads and the El Tajín site. Papantla is the place to witness the ancestral “performance of the flyers” and tour the vanilla plantations. Nearby Villahermosa, the Cocoa Haciendas at Comalcalco produce one of the finest cocoa worldwide.
Yucatan Peninsula
An expedition through Yucatan is a great antidote to boredom. You can expect ancient ruins, jungle wildlife and azure Caribbean waters all in one fell swoop. Relax on the white-sand beaches and explore the beautiful Mayan sites. Adventure into the cenotes and enjoy the Bacalar lagoon.
