If you’re looking for beautiful Jesuit Missions and amazing viewpoints, the Sierra Gorda is the perfect place for you!
Crossing to the State of Querétaro, we will first explore the Mission of Landa de Matamoros, constructed between 1761 and 1770. Its façade’s imagery symbolizes the divine wisdom of the City of God.
Moreover, a 20min hike will take you to the top of Mirador Cuatro Palos where we will camp for one night. Located in one of the highest and most spectacular ridges of the Sierra Gorda, Cuatro Palos views will leave you breathless.
Last but not least, we will stop at Tequisquiapan to enjoy lunch and a short visit to a winery. While not rivalling the northern Mexican wine regions, the wines of Tequisquiapan certainly have good quality.
We explore these wonders in all the following tours. Please note that some activities may be excluded in a few of them. Check carefully the itineraries!
