Mexico City, rich in history and culture, is ready to explore. It has deep roots dating back to the Aztec city of Tenochtitlan, now a bustling metropolis. Hotel Marlowe, our base, offers a prime location near iconic landmarks like Bellas Artes, El Zócalo, and Garibaldi. Lupita’s Guide to Mexico City is your trusty companion for uncovering the city.
Today’s first destination is Coyoacán, a charming colonial neighbourhood nestled in the city’s southern region. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore a bustling market brimming with local delights. Next, we’ll visit the Museo Casa Azul, also known as Frida Kahlo’s House. Step into the colourful world of this iconic artist as you wander through the rooms adorned with her artwork and personal belongings.
Our adventure continues to Xochimilco, where ancient canals and floating gardens await. Hop aboard a traditional “Trajinera Boat” and glide along the tranquil waterways, surrounded by vegetation and a lively atmosphere. As our tour draws to a close, we’ll gather for a final group dinner at a delightful restaurant, celebrating the memories and experiences shared throughout our journey!

Afterwards, we’ll continue our journey to Oaxaca City, where a captivating introductory walk awaits. With each step, the city’s cultural heritage unfurls before your eyes, inviting you to immerse yourself fully in its enchanting atmosphere.
Today offers a leisurely opportunity to recharge and immerse yourself further in the vibrant tapestry of Oaxaca. Excursion to the artisan villages surrounding Oaxaca and explore the masterful craftsmanship of local artisans as you visit traditional workshops specialising in intricate wooden figures and exquisite pottery. Returning to Oaxaca, we’ll enjoy a free afternoon to visit the local markets and museums.
Prepare for a day of awe-inspiring exploration as we embark on an excursion to Hierve el Agua Springs. Nestled amidst the rugged sierras, these natural wonders beckon with breathtaking beauty. Enjoy a guided hike and take a refreshing dip in the infinity pools!
After a delightful traditional lunch, we return to Oaxaca City. Spend the afternoon exploring this vibrant city, soaking in the colourful displays of tradition and culture. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the Museo de Santo Domingo, a treasure trove of Oaxacan history and art.
As our journey together draws to a close, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for joining us on this unforgettable adventure.
