The climate across Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize is incredibly diverse — from desert-like regions in the northwest with big temperature swings, to tropical, humid lowlands along the coast.
General conditions: Most areas range from 15–30ºC (59–86ºF) with sunny, pleasant days.
Hot lowlands & coasts: Temperatures can climb to 40ºC (104ºF) 🌡️, especially during May at the end of the dry season.
Highlands & mountains: Only a few of our tours occasionally visit places above 3,000 m (9,800 ft), where nights can drop to 0–5ºC (32–41ºF) 🏔️.
Dry season (Nov–May): Generally sunny and cooler, with very little rain.
Rainy season (Jun–Oct): Don’t be scared of the name! 🌧️ Mornings are usually sunny and fresh, ideal for activities. Showers tend to come later in the afternoon or evening — when we’re already relaxing at restaurants or hotels. It also means cooler temperatures, fewer crowds, and lush green landscapes 🌿.
👉 In short: be ready for sun, heat, rain, and the occasional chilly night. Packing layers is the best way to stay comfortable across such varied climates.
